The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is proud to announce that 34 exceptional secondary students will be representing our schools at the upcoming Skills Ontario Provincial Competition in Toronto on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

These talented students have earned their place among the best in the province, showcasing their skills in a wide range of skilled trades and technology disciplines, including Culinary Arts, Welding, Cabinetmaking, 2D and 3D Character Animation, Coding, Hairstyling, and many more.

This annual competition brings together high school students from across Ontario to test their expertise in real-world, hands-on challenges. It is one of Canada's largest and most prestigious career exploration experiences for youth, and a powerful platform for students to demonstrate their talents, explore career pathways, and gain invaluable experience in their chosen fields.

"We are incredibly proud of all of our students heading to Toronto for the Skills Ontario Provincial Competition," said Joanne Harris, OYAP Coordinator of UGDSB. "Their hard work, dedication, and passion for the skilled trades and technology sectors are truly inspiring. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish."
