Student art on display at a gallery space

May 1, 2025, was the opening gala for the Emerging Insights Show at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.

The artwork on display was chosen by a juror from the UGDSB Excellence in Visual Arts Show on April 3, 2025, where eight Upper Grand schools had artwork represented in the first board-wide secondary visual arts show.

The juror chose 23 pieces to move onto the 'Emerging Insights' show. At the opening Gala, approximately 120 people come out to celebrate 23 pieces of artwork.

Students received awards to recognize their achievements. Prior to handing out the awards, County Warden, Chris White spoke to the importance of the event.  Artwork will remain on display at the museum for five months, with the show closing on Sept 30, 2025
