Policy Statement
It is the policy of the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) to maintain an efficient and effective records and information management (RIM) program that supports the board’s integrity, transparency and accountability as a public organization.
The UGDSB strives to ensure that records and information are accurate, authentic and reliable, and that records are identified, maintained and disposed of or preserved in accordance with all relevant legislation, established guidelines and/or operational needs.
Records and information are important strategic assets that belong to the board. UGDSB employees and trustees have a shared responsibility to manage these assets following established principles, and in accordance with federal, provincial, and municipal legislation, including licensing college regulations, to help ensure privacy, accessibility, and data protection.
