IMPORTANT NOTE:

There will potentially be a Before and/or After School Program (BASP) located at Grand River PS ... with hopes for a planned start of September 3, 2025 (first day of school). The BASP will be operated by the Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington (CRC). At the moment, BASP operations are dependent on securing a licence to operate which is completed by the BASP Operator through the Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Division (Child Care Licensing System- CCLS). The Community Resource Centre is in the process of submitting the required documents to the Ministry for the licence application.

If your family was a family attending Salem PS and you are on the waitlist for Salem PS through the Wellington Guelph Centralized Waitlist (OHSN), you do not need to complete an additional waitlist entry at this time. Should the license for Grand River PS be completed, the CRC has committed to transitioning those families to the Grand River PS waitlist and allowing families to keep their spot on the list.

If you are a new family to the CRC with a child attending either Salem PS or Grand River PS, please contact the BASP Operator directly for further information. Once the Grand River PS waitlist is operational, they will be able to provide the link to families for registration.

Before School – Kindergarten (JK/SK) Program – Licensed
Full Time or Part Time- $12.00/day/child

Before School – School Age (Grade 1-6) Program – Licensed
Full Time or Part Time- $13.50/day/child

After School – Kindergarten (JK/SK) Program – Licensed
Full Time or Part Time- $12.00/day/child

After School – School Age (Grade 1-6) Program – Licensed
Full Time or Part Time- $16.70/day/child

*Please connect with the Operator to find out if they have combination rates for Before School and After School care

*At their discretion, the Operator may increase rates during the school year

*Inquiries about whether the Third Party Child Care Operator is enrolled in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System and approved to provide fee reductions to eligible children should be made directly to the Operator

Age of Students

Students that attend Grand River PS:  JK/SK and Grade 1-6

Currently, the plan is to offer before and after school care for both the Kindergarten (JK/SK) and School Age (Grade 1-6) groups separately.

Non-instructional Days (PA Days and School Breaks)

The Operator will determine the Program needs of each school year for all non-instructional days (PA Days and School Breaks).  Currently, they intend to offer care on non-instructional days at this location, pending UGDSB consultation and approval.  The provision of the Program on non-instructional days is based on the Operators indication of sufficient need for care and viability.  Please contact the Operator for further information.
