A big thank you to UGDSB SHSM, the Ross Arts Department, and the Indigenous Education Team for their generous support in bringing Alyssa Katrine and Forrest and Nevada Eaglespeaker of The North Sound to the E.L. Fox stage for the Echoes of the Land Assembly in the afternoon of November 11, 2025.
Through contemporary Indigenous music, powerful dialogue, and meaningful cultural teachings, students deepened their empathy and understanding while critically exploring themes of identity, reclamation, and reconciliation.
This transformative experience was more than entertainment—it offered a direct and impactful connection to diverse histories and social issues, inspiring students to foster equity, respect, and growth within our learning community.
