Borden and Busuttil to lead board
GUELPH, Ontario (December 7, 2010) — Bob Borden, the trustee representing the town of Orangeville, and Linda Busuttil, trustee for Guelph Wards 1 and 5 have been elected Chair and Vice-chair of the Upper Grand District School Board for the term ending November 30, 2011. The election was held during the Annual Organization meeting held this evening.

GUELPH, Ontario (December 7, 2011) – Bob Borden, the trustee representing the town of Orangeville, was acclaimed for an eighth term as Chair of the Upper Grand District School Board during the Annual Organizational meeting held Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Mark Bailey, trustee for Guelph Wards 1 and 5, was elected as Vice-chair. The positions are for a one-year term ending November 30, 2012.

Attendance areas proposed for new school and French Immersion in Rockwood
GUELPH, Ontario (November 11, 2013) — The second report of the New Rockwood Elementary
School Boundary Review has been posted to the Upper Grand District
School Board website at www.ugdsb.ca/rbr. The document will be
presented to the Business Operations Committee on November 12, and at a
Public Information Session on November 21.

All Upper Grand elementary schools closed on Friday, January 11, 2013
GUELPH, Ontario (January 9, 2013) — Earlier today it was reported that the Elementary
Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) will stage a one day political
protest against the provincial government on Friday, January 11, 2013.
As a result all Upper Grand elementary schools will be closed to
students to ensure the safety of children.
