May 17 marks the annual International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT). This is a day that helps brings organizations, government agencies, and individual people around the world together to "raise awareness about the issues facing LGBTQIA+ people, and to advocate for policies and laws that protect their rights." Monday, May 12 marked the official start of UGDSB's 4th annual Backyard Bird Count. This year, the invitation went out to all schools, with 10 secondary, 44 elementary and 1 ECPP program participating.
