This past weekend, the GCVI Cheer team competed in the Rising Start Cheer Classic competition, held this year at the Sleeman Cnetre. They delivered a flawless performance, with zero deductions, and were awarded 1st place in the intermediate division. The team is hard at work preparing for OFSAA in April!


Due to inclement weather, UGDSB schools and offices in Zones 2, 3, and 4 (Centre Wellington, North Wellington and Dufferin) are closed today to staff and students. Students are to shift to remote learning, where possible. Staff should not report to work in person, and should shift to remote working where possible. All buses and taxis are cancelled to those affected schools. Schools and offices in Zone 1 (Guelph) remain open today.

GCVI’s Black Futures Month Assembly was a powerful celebration of Umoja (unity)! 🎶💃🏾 The event featured music, dance, spoken word, and a performance by Waleed Abdulhamid. Students came together to honour Black culture and history in an unforgettable way.

The test message will be sent on Thursday February 27 at approximately 4:30pm. It will be sent to staff and families via text, email and phone. The message will clearly indicate that it is a test and no action is required.

Congratulations to the UGDSB students from Guelph Family Martial Arts who competed at the Ontario Provincial Martial Arts Championships this past weekend! The team brought home 9 gold medals and 3 bronze medals.
